As per The 2011 census of Sikkim Districts, Gangtok is the highest literate district with 84% of literacy rate where as Gyalshing is the least literate district with a literacy rate of 77%.
The census 2011 of Sikkim Districts also shows that Gyalshing District represents the highest sex ratio with 942 females per 1000 males while Mangan District features the lowest sex ratio in India with just 767 women per 1000 males
