As per Districts Census 2011, the most populated district in Tamil Nadu is Chennai with a population of 4.65 Million where as the least populated district is Perambalur with a population of 565,223.
As per The 2011 census of Tamil Nadu Districts, Kanniyakumari is the highest literate district with 92% of literacy rate where as Dharmapuri is the least literate district with a literacy rate of 69%.
The census 2011 of Tamil Nadu Districts also shows that Nilgiri District represents the highest sex ratio with 1042 females per 1000 males while Dharmapuri District features the lowest sex ratio in India with just 946 women per 1000 males
