There are presently 22 Districts in Jammu and Kashmir. The Total population of the Jammu and Kashmir is 12.54 Million.
As per Districts Census 2011, the most populated district in Jammu and Kashmir is Jammu with a population of 1.53 Million where as the least populated district is Leh with a population of 133,487.
As per The 2011 census of Jammu and Kashmir Districts, Jammu is the highest literate district with 83% of literacy rate where as Ramban is the least literate district with a literacy rate of 54%.
The census 2011 of Jammu and Kashmir Districts also shows that Shupiyan District represents the highest sex ratio with 951 females per 1000 males while Leh District features the lowest sex ratio in India with just 690 women per 1000 males
